3 Months Old
As you can see, Owen now smiles all the time. His smile makes me stop in my tracks to smile back. He is not even close to sleeping through the night, ha ha. But that is okay. I believe the phrase is "baby steps."

Okay so my camera really bites hence this photo is really fuzzy. This project took me over a week. I am quite proud of it. This is my 40x60 inch wall art. It will be put in the stairwell hallway. It says "Walk in Love" which is a phrase I tell myself every day. It reminds me that each step I take should be made in Love.

A smile to cure all worries...
My little man is growing so quickly! I am guessing that he is at least 15 pounds and not even 3 months yet. (4 days short of 3 months) My time is growing short with being a stay at home mommy... I go back to work in a week. I find myself beginning to worry, my stomach curls into knots, my heart sinks deep into my chest... and then the little man flashes me with one of his priceless grins! His smile cures my worries! I trust that God will use this 5 month season to teach me and grow me more into the woman He desires me to be. That said, I am still going to ball my little eyes out when I drive away from him the morning I return.
Sigh, more on this topic later.

Cloth Diapers
We began cloth diapering Owen when he was 6 weeks old. We had some figuring to do in the beginning. For example, he was 13 pounds. The size I had it set on was good until the baby was 16 pounds. We had some leaking so I had to bump him up to the bigger size three pounds early. After doing that, within a short amount of time we had some more leaking problems. So, thanks to Ashely's advice, we added another insert. Things are going smoothly now! About once every other day Owen has a blow out but he had daily blow outs when we were using disposables. The kid has massive movements if you know what I mean...
Overall cloth has been a good choice. But, I will let you know again how things go in a few months when we start solid foods. Dun dun dun duunnn....

Anyone who has a child knows that even the smallest projects still count as projects! This one was simple, organize the measuring cups. It was a huge success! Now we find them with ease!

Simple but free! I found some old necklaces that belonged to my Grandmother in an old dress up chest upstairs. I re-strung the beads and attached them to a ribbon to make a necklace that I actually wear. Owen is a bit of a cat-napper. He only takes 30-40 min naps at a time. So, this was a quick project that gave me a sense of accomplishment for the day!
