A heartbeat lights up the screen!

"For you were made in my image"
Genesis 1:27

Here is our baby! I know, it doesn't look like much. I jokingly call it "my blob." Meeting the real baby inside of me on the ultrasound monitor was a very special moment. I will never forget holding Mike's hand and watching the heartbeat light up the screen. It truly looks like a light bulb lighting up with every beat. I felt the presence of God in the room holding our hands as well. He has created this baby and it warms my heart to know that the baby (like us) is created in the image of our Heavenly Father. When I think about this truth, tears come to my eyes.

The baby looked perfect and measured to be 7 weeks instead of 8. The doctor said that this was normal and not to worry one bit. She said my uterus was nice and round, a perfect shape for the baby, and for some reason hearing this made me feel good. They were not able to get my prenatal blood results because 2 nurses and 1 doctor were not able to stick me. 4 needle holes and a few bruises later we left with Baby Wojcik's first pictures in hand and hearts overwhelmed with emotions of joy.

  1. Beautiful baby! This warms my heart, too. I also measured 5 days smaller at my early ultrasound, but was back on track at 9 weeks. They do say it's perfectly normal and he or she is perfectly the size God wants right now! "In His hand is the LIFE of every creature and the BREATH of all mankind." Job 12:10. He alone is in control. I love you!!!
