Baby is now 6 weeks old! Below is the development update from BabyCenter.com
"This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil."
I have been feeling alright since I beat the sinus infection. I am still having the ailments listed in my last post. Sore breasts, gruffy stomach. (Feels weird to say breast, but whatever!) A new thing that started more this week are my emotions! Welcome to a whole new world of feelings. I go from anxiety to excitement in five seconds or less and back again. I have been trying to take those thoughts captive and give them to the Lord right away. I know that He has us in the palm of His hand.
If you know me, then you know that I have.. well... as my father puts it, a nose that gives me character. One night Mike decided to pray that the baby would have my nose. I told him that I liked his nose better and would not pray in agreement to that. Then, that evening Mike and I read the development post together. And, the day that Mike prayed for the baby's nose was the day that the actual nose started to develop. He is so sneaky!
