23 Weeks Pregnant
(These pictures were taken at the Cherry Blossom Festival a few months ago.)
Update from BabyCenter.com:
"Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb."
You totally can see him squirm under my clothes. It is so funny. Sometimes he sends strong kicks that make my belly bounce and other times he does the wave where he moves his whole body and it looks like a wave moving on my belly. It makes me laugh at how weird it looks and feels. I also am believing that he loves Jesus. Every time I am in worship at church I can feel him jumping around. He is listening to his mama praise Jesus and cant help but praise himself as well. When he does this it is a massive reminder of how sovereign and loving our heavenly Father is. He is the ultra awesome Father that provides for all of our needs. I am humbled every time I think of Him choosing us to be the parents of one of his many miracles.
This week was filled with tasks around the house. I am not "nesting" quite yet, just unpacking boxes and boxes of items into our new home. The condo is fantastic. A total blessing from God! Mike has done wondrous with getting everything painted and cleaned so I didn't have to do anything risky while being pregnant. This week I can tell my body is different. It is getting tricky getting out of bed, or the bathtub, or climbing the three flights of stairs, or reaching items far away. It is funny how a little bump on the front of you abdomen can change everything about how you do things.
Get excited! Belly photos coming in next post!!!
