24 Weeks Pregnant

Update from BabyCenter.com:
"Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon."
I know I promised some belly pictures but the ones below will have to do. Reason being, I wanted to wait until I felt "pretty" and we have been without AC for a week now. So, when I am home I am a rotten, cranky, sweaty mess of a woman. Dealing with the AC has brought out a not so gracious side of me. Being real here, I have seriously worked myself into tears and have had the ultimate desire to punch faces and cuss people out. (This is totally rare for me, maybe it is the hormones and heat combo but I do not like feeling so out of control.) I pray that God would fill me with understanding, patience, and a heart full of thankfulness. I have so much to be grateful for, why must I dwell on something that will get worked out? I know my Father in heaven has plans to prosper me and take care of me... he will do it even in the small things like AC. So, here is to hoping that next week I will feel "pretty" but in the mean time I will post some of my rotten, cranky, sweaty mess of a woman photos- YEAH!
Here I am taking a cold bath (with ice cubes in the water) to stay cool. The boys came in to find me clothed in the tub. After laughing at me, they listened as I explained that I stayed in my clothes so they could talk to me.
Belly is big enough to perfectly hold my water cup so I can sip through the straw. Mike also has prepared a pot full of cold water to cool me down. I felt like my feet were going to combust into ash with the heat.

You make me laugh! Glad you found a way to help beat the heat!
